Rare. Undated, circa 1869 from inscription. Lilac decorated cloth boards with gilt lettering to spine and front. All edges gilt. Heavy staining to boards with signs of damp. Corners are bumped, edges are worn. Spine is age darkened with bumping to ends. Both inner hinges are cracked; the front rather worse than the rear. Frontispiece has been coloured. 316 pp + adverts. Previous owner's mark to fep dated 1869. 'With upwards of sixty illustrations by Coleman, Harvey, and others.' Additional photos are available upon request.
